Ashdod Travelers guide
Sea, nature and extreme 141 Ashdod is considered one of the cities in the country with a particularly high percentage of young people. More than half its residents are aged 34 or younger. It is no wonder then, that the city offers a fair amount of attractions and points of interest for the young people in the group. The tour before you is dedicated for families visiting Ashdod with children, who are interested in a route that includes as wide a variety of attractions as possible, and is not too long and exhausting for the little ones. The route was planned such, that at different stops along the route you are able to choose whether to keep on walking, or go to the next stop by car. Please note that the visit at the Sea and Dolphin Center requires pre-booking at least a day in advance, and sometimes is conditional on a minimum number of participants. Before you head out make sure you take a bathing suit, comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water with you. 5 TheHai-Lachish Promenade 6 The Ralex Car Museum 3 The Dolphin and Sea Center 4 Etgarim Park 2 The Lachish Ashdod Park 1 Pirate Park TIP Even the trip to Ashdod itself can become a wonderful attraction for the children, if you come by train. In this case, make sure to leave for the city at least an hour earlier and take into account that for small children (up to the age of seven) this option is less suitable, since it requires an additional walk of about ten minutes from the bus station to the first stop on the tour. TIP On hot summer days it is recommended to start the tour in the early morning hours (08:00-09:00) or alternatively- in the afternoon (14:00-15:00)
