Ashdod | Must see 62 Running The Ashdod-Yam Fort The impressive archaeological site, located on the southern coastline of Ashdod, presents the relics of the most beautiful coastal fortress built in the country in the early Arab period. This fort, like others of its kind built along the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea, was built with the purpose of defending the region against the invasion of Byzantine ships.
