Mitzpe Yohai

The fortress is named after Yoḥai Elka’im, may he rest in peace, a resident of the city of Ashdod. He was a man of kindness and generosity, a salt of the earth, and beloved by the community. He sacrificed his life when he entered to rescue a drowning person on this beach on the 8th of Elul 5778 (August 19, 2018), at the age of 28 at his death.

 

 

For road construction and parking work, the fortress and Yoḥai’s Lookout will be closed on 26/2/23 for the next two months for maintenance and will reopen in full for the summer season.

Access to the ecological park from the fortress side is blocked.
