Pond – moist habitat

This pool of water was created as a source of drinking water for the variety of animals in the area as well as as a demonstration that simulates a humid habitat, typical of the sandy areas – coastal salt.

Around the pool, typical plant species have been planted, such as sharp sedge, common abkana, Egyptian sugar cane and other species, which benefit from the high ground water in the area and are resistant to the salt spray.

Please note: the pool water is not suitable for drinking. Entry to the pool is strictly prohibited!
