The Ashdod Municipality and the Tourism Society are constantly working to develop the LaQish River and Park as a unique tourism destination for the city of Ashdod, which is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the country throughout the year.
The current phase has seen the creation of a sequence of floating cabins from which 10 pedal boats (only) are launched into the water. They will work and row for approximately 1.5 kilometers — around the Test Park and along the riverbed into the sea. Pedal boats will be rented out to the community (under constant supervision and management) and users must adhere to all necessary safety regulations. All aspects of paddling will be continuously monitored and documented during and after the activity.
The water in the river is regularly tested and monitored every few days by professionals and has been found suitable and approved for paddling by the Ministry of Health for several years now. During the paddling, water monitoring will be increased and a «green flag» will be raised each day for the event to proceed, thanks to independent environmental audits by municipal associations to ensure environmental quality.
In addition to the return of rowing, tourism in Ashdod sees the importance of continuing to promote «green» activities that combine enjoyment of the river and its surroundings with education in conserving the rich nature and wildlife in the park.

Question: How much does it cost to rent a boat?

Answer: Residents of Ashdod — 50 ₪, non-residents — 60 ₪

• Rowing time is half an hour.

• Delay in returning the boat will result in an additional charge of half an hour.

• Payment is per boat, not per person, regardless of boat type.

• The boats are designed for two people.

• Payment can only be made by credit card at the self-service station.

• Children one year of age and older are allowed on the boat; Additional passengers cannot be carried, even if they are holding a child.

• Animals are not allowed on the boat.

Question: Does this really work?

Answer: After purchasing your ticket, you must take what you have and walk to the river access gate.

Those who pass by their number must take another number.

Question: What are the working days and hours?

Answer: Boating is available daily, with the first boat leaving at 10:00 am.

The last boat leaves at 16:30.

It is not possible to purchase a ticket if it will result in paddling in the dark and if you arrive after 17:00 it is recommended to check with the operator in advance.
