A fruit-bearing tree, with a thick and twisted trunk, featuring wide landscapes. One of the seven species cultivated in our country. The fruits range in color from golden-green to blue-purple. Fruits are harvested from June to September. Pollination is done by fig wasps. The fruits are used in cooking and also in folk medicine.
