“Soup Week” Returns to Ashdod

 

When it’s cold outside, soup makes a comeback!

15 restaurants in Ashdod will add a special soup dish to their menu for a week

Soup is the perfect solution for the cold winter. It’s nourishing, warming, satisfying, and looks great on Instagram. The Ashdod Tourism Society has decided to honor soup and, for the fourth year in a row, is hosting “Soup Week” in Ashdod. During this week, 15 restaurants in the city will add a special soup dish to their menu that the chef or owner particularly loves. The soups will be sold in the restaurants during the week at a special price of only ₪10.

In Ashdod, visitors will find the widest variety of cultures and traditions. As a result, “Soup Week” will feature soups from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. At Luchana Restaurant, you can taste lentil and minestrone soup, at Nimasta (Indian) they will serve a traditional lentil soup (dal), at Friends’ Meeting, you can enjoy Bulgarian tripe soup, Matilda offers Russian borscht, Fonch Restaurant will present fish soup, and many other restaurants will offer special soups during the festival to make the winter tasty and warm.

Opening Gala in honor of the festival will take place on Wednesday, January 13, at 7:30 PM at the Arieh Klung House.

On the menu: Soup stalls from all participating restaurants will serve samples of hearty and comforting soups, from various cultures and flavors. Later, there will be a performance by Avihu Medina and Chef Maya Darin with heartwarming stories from the culinary world collected over decades of culinary experience.
