Between Moshav Beit Ezra to the north and Kibbutz Nitzanim to the south, a small hill rises to a height of 69 meters above sea level. The location of the hill to the east of the coastal road was strategic during the War of Independence as it allowed observation and control of the Egyptian invasion axis from Rafah.
