The series of marching figures makes the square one of the original ones in Ashdod and Israel. The figures, ten in number, differ from each other in Maran, in their size and in the direction of their march. Three of them have already “left” the square and are walking briskly on the nearby traffic islands – two to the south and one to the north. The remaining 7 figures in the square are still huddled in the shade of the beautifully designed metal palm trees. But it seems that some of them are already marching with genius to other districts. The designs of the square were donated by the people of the Eshkol power plant in memory of their friend Gil Keko.
