Ashdod’s official cultural hall has become one of the symbols of the city. The building, located in the city’s cultural center, was designed by architect Haim Dotan in 1999, but was inaugurated only 13 years later due to construction delays. The Mishkan, currently considered one of the most beautiful and special buildings in Israel, hosts the best artists from Israel and abroad as well as many cultural events.
